TimberCreek Home Cabinetry manufactures European Cabinets (frameless style).
Cabinets constructed with this method have no frame and the doors are attached directly to the sides of the cabinets using a concealed hinge. [Open European Cabinet Diagram]

Frameless construction offers an unbroken appearance and a contemporary style. The omission of the frame also offers greater capacity - maximizing your space and providing easy accessibility to the cabinet interior.

Wood Species

  1. Alder, Knotty Alder
  2. Cherry, Rustic Cherry
  3. Hickory, Rustic Hickory
  4. Maple, Rustic Maple
  5. Oak, Rustic Oak

How does one go about choosing a species?

How well do you know wood? Our cabinets can be constructed from an array of 5 wood species, each with an option of standard or knotty or rustic for a total of 10 choices.

To decide which type of wood best suits you, here are some typical characteristics of the 5 species we offer.

Alder/Knotty Alder:
Alder is a straight grained, fine textured wood , which absorbs stains thoroughly and beautifully.
Cherry/Rustic Cherry:
Cherry is generally straight grained with a fairly uniform texture, and a rich luster. In its natural state it is very colorful, almost iridescent. Cherry stains easily and polishes to an excellent finish.
Hickory/Rustic Hickory:
Hickory has a coarse texture, with a generally straight grain. It naturally has a large variance in color , giving cabinetry quite a unique look. It is one of our heaviest and strongest wood species, and stains fairly well.
Maple/Rustic Maple:
Maple is generally straight grained, but at times a curly grain will be apparent, it also has a fairly coarse texture. This is a strong wood, which resists denting quite well. Maple does not accept all stains due to the coarseness, but the stains Maple will take in go on smooth and evenly.
Oak/Rustic Oak:
Oak is a very hard wood with a coarse texture, straight grain, and prominent rays. Oak takes most stains fairly well, but due to its larger pores, the intensity of the stain will be less than other wood species.
